These Terms govern your use of the Compass Logistics of California Inc. ("Compass") website and the quote tools and forms provided on it. By using the site you agree to these Terms.

Quotes are non-binding

Quotes generated by this site are estimates based on the information you provide and current public references (mileage, ports, fuel surcharges, etc.). They do not constitute a contract of carriage. A binding rate is established only when Compass or a carrier accepts your shipment in writing.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the site, attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access, or use automated tools to scrape pricing in bulk. Reasonable browser-based use is welcome.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Compass does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compass is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including reliance on a quote that turns out to be inaccurate.

Carriage liability

For shipments Compass actually accepts, liability is governed by the applicable bill of lading and prevailing carrier rules (Carmack Amendment for U.S. interstate motor carriage; COGSA for ocean shipments to/from the U.S.; the carrier's house bill of lading otherwise).

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
